Ubot Studio v4 – Understanding the Define Command

September 19th, 2011    •   by Frank    •   2 Comments »

The Define command in version 4 seems to be ill explained on the Ubot Studio site, so now that I understand it, I thought it would be great to do a quick video showing how it works.

Watch the video below. I’ve also included below the video, the simple code made in version 4.

The code made for version 4 below:

set(#variable, $go to ubot junkie("http://www.ubotjunkie.com"), "Global")
 load html(#variable)
 define $go to ubot junkie(#url_sub) {
     navigate(#url_sub, "Wait")
     click(<innertext="About">, "Left Click", "No")
     wait for browser event("DOM Ready", "")
     if($exists(<innerhtml="<cufon class=\"cufon cufon-canvas\" alt=\"About\" style=\"width: 64px; height: 24px; \"><canvas width=\"81\" height=\"23\" style=\"width: 81px; height: 23px; top: 1px; left: -1px; \"></canvas><cufontext>About</cufontext></cufon>">)) {
         then {
             return("Found the page!")
         }
         else {
             return("Opps there\'s a problem.")
         }
     }
 }

Enjoy and please leave your comments and questions below.

    Thanks Frank
    so when I need to call the define i would :
    if ($exists(“whatever it is that exists”))
    {
    then {
    $go to ubot junkie }
    else { return (“another thing”) }
    }

    is this right?
